I currently have an iPhone X on contract with o2, that expires in the middle of the month, there is a problem with the earpiece, the volume on incoming calls is very very quiet. I have also found o2 to be poor signal wise in large built-up cities.

I want to keep the phone however as I use it with my DJI equipment.

In my head I am tied to Apple, I have a Macbook Air and my main email address is [email protected] which I quite like.

I could wait for the new iPhone but other than it having 5G I can't see what benefits it will bring over what I have now.

What other phones would people recommend and contract deals are out there at the moment?

I'm not sure what recommendations you expect when you say yourself you're deep into the Apple ecosystem. The obvious choice is one of the 11 models on whichever network has the best signal in your area.
