If they're violently resisting it does. This guy was doing just that.
No evidence of violence either.

Well post your screenshot with proof then.
Don't need to, it is on the twitter video. I suggest you go to specsavers if you can't see it. They're shut at the moment cos of covid19.
It definitely does have something to do with race for some. Read the comments on the twitter post.
@Dis86
Even looking at your pictures, you can see the victim's body rotated to the lunging position. This is consistent with being pushed.

You should've gone to Specsavers. Oh...
Actually, no. He just posted two selective images. Reviewing the video, there was a number of actions within the two seconds.
Having difficulty in restraining someone doesn't justify the use of Tasers, simple.
Should tasers only be used to stop an immediate threat? Or is apprehension of a resisting suspect, without immediate danger, an acceptable use of the taser?
Would they have been better to wait for more man power and better negotiation to prevent any further distress to the child?
Don't make assumptions about the police but freely make assumptions about the individual? That's just basic bias so little point discussing further but I would like to ask...Depends on the situation, which as said isn't shown in full in the clips. The fact the Taser was already in-hand before filming started suggests an escalation up to that point, as opposed to being drawn and immediately used.
There didn't seem to be anything to negotiate, at that point he was resisting arrest and so force was used to gain compliance. What's the realistic alternative? They can't grapple around with a guy that size for 5-25 minutes while waiting for additional resources.
Any distress to the child was caused by the father putting himself and his kid in that situation. Anyone with that list of charges isn't a first-time offender either so perhaps with Dad in prison and some intervention from SS the kid might have half a chance now.
...could you clarify?Depends on the situation
