Could anyone recommend a good AMD and mobo combo for mid - High graphics gaming. Looking to spend around £650 on cpu mobo and card. Have a 500w psu, 1tb ssd and 8gb ram (thinking of upping that too). Gtx 1060ti card at the mo.

Was thinking ryzen5 1600 AF socket or for nearly double the price ryzen5 3600x for the chip

And Asus prime B450M-A micro ATX mobo.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

The general consensus is that they will cost more than the equivalent B450 boards but less than the equivalent X570 boards.

Example = See below:

My basket at Overclockers UK:

I would say the the B550 version is going to be somewhere in the middle, about £170-£180.

Cheers bud.

What amd chip would you recommend for around £150 with the b450 tomahawk?

That's what I was thinking.

So I'm thinking the ryzen 5 3600, b450 tomahawk, 16gb ddr4 ballistix and 1660 super card. Would that be a decent setup to run most games you think?
That would do nicely for 1080p gaming, if your going for 1440p high refresh rate then 2060 super / 5700xt
