If using Adobe then intel still wins, regardless if you Chuck AMD cores at it. Current intel 9th gen are superceded with incoming 10th gen that unlocked hyper threading .

Also AMD side , b550 is launching with b450 and x570 not supporting Ryzen 4*** CPUs coming end of the year

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £750.47 (includes shipping: £10.50)

Or wait for b550 Aorus Master/Pro £150-220

Intel

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Least your doubling your core count and thread count up by x4 !

32GB maybe overkill but added it due to video editing. Can always drop to 16GB

Many thanks indeed and do use most Adobe products.

What would be a decent Cooler for the intel build?

Aorus AIO is rated best of the CLC units beating NZXT etc , has OLED screen and ARGB.
Eisbaer is good price and proper Copper AIO/water unit but not flashy or smart tech.
Dark rock Pro 4 , beast of an air cooler

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £409.79 (includes shipping: £9.90)

10th gen 8 core 16 thread in theory runs a little cooler due to design, but if manually overclocked to 5.2ghz all cores then it shoots up with temps !

Unfortunately , they haven't dropped 9900k 8 core 16 thread prices, they are exactly the same currently as the new intel 10 core 20 thread i9 being £500 both.

Similar price to AMD build above - but 12 core and B450 motherboard, 32GB of 3200mhz RAM

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £728.47 (includes shipping: £10.50)

£115 for b450.. nuts and I'm an Aorus fan. Just grab b550 in June or x570 Gigabyte UD or Gaming X £150-70

Also, 12 core Ryzen doesn't beat 8 core 8 thread 9700k in Prem Pro.. Yet anyways . Adobe focusing on GPU support more now though

^^^ 38mm aluminium rad for the Arctic Vs 25mm copper for eisbaer.
Cut that open at end of 3 years and see the corrosion .
Pump is double the sound and less powerful too .
Fans are Stella though ! 6mm inner diameter Vs 8mm of the eisbaer for flow too.

Also 12 have design of the Aorus is better. Not using doublers and straight phases. 50amps Vs 55amps of Toma though

Although, 11th gen 8 core is meant to out perform the 10core 10th gen, so didn't spec it . Gaming wouldn't see to much difference as well. Save the cash :)

Same 10600k had a price rise though !

Would this be any good as i would like something to build now and im not impressed with the latest intel release to be honest.

Sorry for being a pain.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £951.42 (includes shipping: £0.00)
Looks pretty good although at £220 the cooler is quite pricey.
