All the motherboard websites have the specs, so go to Asus,Gigabyte,MSI,ASRock etc to see their B550 models, pricing wise well you'll have to wait until they are released, but pricing should be very interesting on some B550 models.

Visit vendor websites. All listed

Pretty difficult and time consuming way to get a view of what's out there for B550 with so many boards available! I shall trawl reddit to see if someone's done the hard work and already tabulated it... (which is what I was hoping for!)

Shamefully pinched from Reddit

Aorus Master $279
Aorus Pro AC $189
Aorus Pro $179
Aorus Elite $159

Gaming X $139
B550M Aorus Pro $129

B550 is not going to be a cheap option for anyone!

I went to all the websites and had a look, does not take long, besides you know what type of specs you want on a board and what you are looking for, we don't ;) .

Lets be honest, how long does it take to look at four websites ie Asus, ASRock, Gigabyte, MSI on the B550 boards , you could do it in a tea break :) .

£279 mark?..For that price I rather buy a X570 board, plenty of decent ones around at that price.
Crazy pricing for a budget tier motherboard. I'm just glad B450 is getting Zen3 support as B550 makes no sense at all with current pricing.

On a budget? then get B450, have more to spend then go X570. where does B550 fit in? for people who wanted X570 without the fan i guess.

I fully expect A520 to be priced at B450 level but then the trade off is overclocking support for pcie gen 4.

*Strokes £113 B450 Pro Carbon AC* Will handle Ryzen 3 so need to do anything until Ryzen 4 or 5 and DDR5.

Looks like B550 equivalent board also with WIFI from MSI costs $219 so probably £250 here.

That would make the MSI X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI at around £250-£259 a bargain lol.

I think X570 looked overpriced when I decided on B450, now B550 looks the same, B450 looked damn good, then not so much with AMD shenanigans with Ryzen 3, now it looks a great platform again. I think AMD got the whip hand with Ryzen chips for anyone interested in in bang for buck, but then pushed up MOBO prices later, pretty smart really kept the CPU's cheap, cashed in MOBO's for people coming later to Ryzen, or upgarders interested in the new shiny MOBO's.

All in all they're smashing Intel to pieces right now unless you want 5 FPS for a lot more £££ on an old process and often less cores.

I wonder if the X570 prices will drop when B550 boards are released?

As I've mention new. B550 replaces x570 pretty much for cheaper . Most flagship x570 re £350-700 . Aorus master does this at £100-500 cheaper etc .

£100 b550 will sell well, considering people are buying £125 b550 tomahawk when it was a £85 launch board etc .

If your after budget, then it's b450 and after more expensive then b550. None should be buying x570 at b550 release

I only paid around £20 more for my X570 master a while ago. That B550 price is well over the top.

They have to be careful, too high and you are in X570 range, problem is they want sales of B550 while keeping X570 sales going, so too high and people will jump to X570, too low and X570 sales may suffer. Personally I think B550 pricing looks a little too high at this time, too close to X570 IMHO.
