I'm in that boat, my PS4 library is totally digital but I don't want it to be cheaper, I want more internal storage. :p Which is kind of logical as I'll have more downloaded stuff to stick on it. :p

I might be wrong it's just with people concerned about price having a cheaper option that also pushes digital might be not such a bad idea as far as Sony is concerned. If the internal SSD storage is upgradeable then most people will probably be replacing the internal storage down the line anyway as capacities increase so they'd be paying extra for an SSD that they will immediately replace?

Maybe they will have 2 digital only SKU's with a standard size and larger size? who knows.

I suppose. Having no disc drive will be extra pennies towards an NVMe SSD then.

Kena, Deathloop, Ghostwire, Oddworld, Godfall, Solar Ash, Little Devil Inside, Jett, Bugsnax, Goodbye Volcano High, Project Athia and Stray are all timed console exclusives. They will all launch on Playstation and PC.

It's a good time to be a PC gamer

If I don't buy a PS5, I'll miss Spider Man, Horizon, and Ratchett & Clank. I can live with that to save £400-£600 :p

It's a bit of an eye-sore tbh. I don't like the design, and if you get the one with the drive, it looks even worse because the symmetry is all wrong. I know the Series X is a big box, but at least it's an all-black big box.

Also, so much for the exclusives being exclusives. Most of them are going to end up on PC, and exclusives have always been Sony's hold on the console market for years. With there being so few at launch, I wonder how it will fare this time around? I'll happily stick with an Xbox and PC. There's also more parity between Xbox and PC with Game Pass etc, so I don't see how Sony are going to stack up if their exclusives are so weak at launch. Got to wonder what their first-party developers have been doing for all this time...

When's the MS conference? Don't care about looks or graphics, just want something new or different and for the current gen MS offered absolutely nothing so went with a PS4. Wondering if that will change this gen.

Think the digital one is going to be similar to what they do in the phone market. They release a cheap version with some of the features knocked off to make the "Pro" version better value for money.

Xbox event is in about a month I think.

Be interesting to see how it compares with content, hopefully it'll have more than 20-30 second clips of game cinematics.

That is already debunked.

At PS5’s launch, we will offer two options: a PlayStation®5 console with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive and a PlayStation®5 Digital Edition without a disc drive. The PS5 gameplay experience will be the same, so the choice is all yours. While there are some slight differences in the look of each model, for the overall design, we wanted to deliver a console that’s bold, stunning, and unlike any previous generation of PlayStation.
