Oh come off it guys, Hamilton could have eased off, turned slightly towards apex and gave Albon room.

But he did what he often does when he has someone on his outside - run them wide.

He was on full lock, how does he turn towards the apex? There was room on his outside, Albon hit him because instead of taking a wider line and avoiding contact he turned in towards Lewis. Sheer inexperience. He had masses of pace, and could have chosen his moment at any time. Hell, he'd have stayed ahead just by hanging a little wide and keeping his foot in.

So racing is now about the other guy backing off lol?

It would hardly be the first time similar punishments have been dished out - there's often a 'benefit of the doubt' if you like, given to the car that has gotten in front with these sort of calls - there very much is an expectation that the car behind will take action to not hit the car that is passing/has passed them.

Albon only got ahead during the actual corner. There's really no way Hamilton could have reacted and changed his line in time.

LH was caught out by AA pace. He was expecting to keep his line and push AA wide and hadnt factored in that AA would be level or infront.

Being full lock isn’t an excuse for contact as you can turn earlier or slow to give space.
