I'll take one for £150 for my 2nd machine :p:D

That said I am sure people will pay £300 still, the marketing is so strong on that card that when people see 1080Ti they lose all common sense.
Better put one up for sale ASAP, you might get one at that price from me depending how the wind blows.

I don't mean to sound arrogant or anything but the 3080 is only £150 quid(ish) more than the 3070... I can imagine the 3080 selling really well and the 3070 not so much, I mean if you've got £500 to spend on a gfx card you may as well spend another £150 :D

20%? Thats it?

Source?

The video we just watched.

3080 was 30/58/238 for Shader/RT/Tensor
3090 was 36/69/285

That's about 20% faster across the board. Obviously memory bandwidth may be higher too but I doubt that'll make much difference.

Since it's basically a Titan replacement this makes sense as those cards always offered very little uptick over the top non-Titan card but with a huge price.

The amount of people "chuffed" that the top card is now £1500. Have I missed something? You've all been played! The top card 4 years ago was £799!! It's horrible price increases!
The 3080 and 3070 are actually a little better than I feared. Not too bad.

You do know there has been a Titan card each generation of the cards, the 3090 is a titan in all but name.

What I'm annoyed at is that the 3080 currently released is only 10GB of VRAM, I have 11GB on my strix 1080 Ti and I have seen it ALL used in my heavy modded CIV6 games. I'm basically unable to go to a 3080 10GB card, yeah they might release a 20GB version but I'm concerned on how much that's going to add to the card cost and I worry it will be such a small selling volume that its priced badly to off set the low volume of sales. I'm not even 4k gaming which I'm considering once I can either find a LG C10 48 cheap enough or a LCD monitor at the rough size with all the same features...

any one noitce the cuda counts of the 3080 and 3090 on nvidias website and it has

3080 8704 cuda cores
3090 10496 cuda cores

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FP's per shader and because CUDA is just a made up name for their shaders he can say it has 2X CUDA core per shader.

So multiply the shaders by 2, call them CUDA cores and you can double the number.... Marketing.

On NVIDIA website it says 3080 2x8 pin and 1x8 pin for 3070

that might be for the adaptor

You can see the 12 pin in this picture from the Nvidia website
