Number 245 in the queue for the 5950X, ordered at 445pm, understood pre-orders were going live at 5pm. Sigh. I'm sure it will be worth the wait, and hopefully get them this year!

I wasn't expecting such short supply and only ordered on Friday. How will I know what position I am in the queue? The suspense is REAL!!!

I received my 5900x from OC yesterday, and it's refreshing to see how little plastic AMD are using in their packaging. Much less than the 3600 I had, it's almost all cardboard in there.
I actually also like the lack of a cooler for people who aren't likely to use it - I wonder if the asymmetrical price increases (less as you go up the stack) are partially caused by this

I found this thread very interesting reading about the peoples perception of how global supply chains should work. We are purchasing a physical product, not a digital one and not a commodity either. Supply is relatively unresponsive to demand over the short term. If you find the current situation unbearable, it will only worsen January 1st for a whole host of UK imports.

Only 5 5600x come with cooler
5600x arrived today and cooler are included. But almost 50% smaller than for 2600.
Thank god I've other one, but for people with stock I think that 40+ degrees at idle will be minimum.
Nice, I can't wait for mine and just wondering what motherboard and ram you're using?

What CPU cooler did the folk who got the 5950X and 5900X buy?

got a custom loop for my 5950x and it just enough to keep it under control at 4.7ghz all core, though i will say it peaks at 102 degrees and settles back to around 50-70 degrees in games, 3dmark is the only benchmark tool that will run without shutting down my pc

here is my 3dmark timespye run from eariler (4.6ghz) , i finally made it into the 20k club

Had my Harribo and 5900x turn up today.

Didn't pay for Saturday delivery, was scheduled for Monday but they brought it anyway honestly DPD is the the best courier company.

I just upgrade MB for Asus ROG B550-I (ready for r5000 + usb c socket on mb). I use also 32gb Ballistix sport Lt 3200MHz cl16 (@3600mhz if needed) + GTX 1080ti mini.
Everything in Dan A4 with asetek 645lt.
Old set Asus b450-i + r5 2600 has to go to sis PC.
I bought for old setup 16gb crucial 2666mhz (2x8gb) and settings from Ballistix has left at b450-i bios. I was really surprised when I realize that 16gb ram 2666mhz cl19 1.2v bought for 43£ are working with 3200mhz cl16 at 1.35v. :o

Same story. I was surprised when I seen at morning that parcel on van. Good surprise after last year problems (I has to cancelled 3900x after 4weeks).
Good job this time OC. :)

After today I disagree. Just took a picture of my front door, didn't ring the bell, knock or call. I just received a message saying sorry we missed you. We are on lockdown where the hell was I going to go?
