Good shots EGuitarStar and alchal.

alchal, how do you get access into the base to get those photos?

Better late than never...

As smr says shooting through the fence with a 150-600, it tends to ignore the wire enough to get a photo at that distance, might get a very slight white haze but they are passable for the most part.

Like most basses you can stand around the perimeter fence etc and watch/photograph things, as long as you don't climb fences or block roads the military police leave you alone.

Stand behind them ( wind depending which way they fly take off) when two go at once, ooomph that thrust!...it's brilliant!
Up next Mon/Tues so hopefully a pic to share.

Superb photo.

Taken on Sunday at Myrtle Avenue.

Another superb photo. I've been meaning to do the same. I was just looking at Myrtle Avenue on street view, it seems to be a cul de sac and then fields with the planes in view on the ground. Is that where you went and then walked across the field to get closer? And did you drive and find a parking space easily or get the tube to Hatton Cross and walk?
