im the opposite, got a 6800xt (surprisingly) but im 770 ish in the cue for my 5900x

I'm 700+ as well. We're in for a long wait. Unless we get lucky in a random drop, unlikely though that may be.

Last week I was 1034 so ... ouch. Considering whether to try for a 5950x in hopes of getting it sooner. Are we able to switch from a 5900x to a 5950x on OCUK even if they are not taking any more pre-orders for the 5950x?

Same. I’m hoping that it’s because they have just got stock in and they are just working through the preorder list. I imagine it may take a couple of days to check 200 boxes for defects, while packaging them and sending them out to us.

my hopes are rising! But I was 359 last week so maybe not so much

yes it did, I thought the same, but it has been confirmed as 200.

Extremely unlikely. But you could always ask.

Ordered a 5600x on launch day, no change from last week from queue position 11. Painful given the 3070 should be coming tomorrow or Monday

I get the impression they are making/shipping a *lot* more 5900X and 5950X than 5600X or 5800X. In fact, almost no 5800X have been shipped.

AMD be premium, y'all. Cheapest chip is now £550

I salute your optimism, but I fear it is misplaced. No update coz hee-haw has changed...

I went 5900, coz they said 300 this week, 300 next. I guessed everyone pile in at the very top and the very bottom. So went one below. If I’d went for a 5950, I would probably have received it by now... curses.
