Thank you.

Just done some Cinebench R23. No overclocking or PBO (whatever that is) enabled as far as I know.

Single Thread: 1609 - Temp averaging 58C

Multi Core: 20878 - Temp averaging 59

Cyberpunk I get max peak at 76 with my single fan Noctua D15s, that does not exceed 1150rmp.

Where as with AIDA64 FPU Stresstest, I don't break 60 degrees.

The gaming core boost is rather aggressive on the voltage.

Thanks for that. I've just had my PC Blue screen on me while playing and seems like people get that error when overclocking.

Bootee my PC straight up and it was giving me 70C temp for 5900x. It seems to be hovering around 67-70 when gaming instead of 60 which I previously thought. Not sure what hardware could be failing. Both CPU and GPU are getting 70s. Might change the fancurve or airflow

I'll download the stress test you've mentioned.

I've kept everything entirely stock, since this is my workstation also; had no issues running AIDA64 CPU/FPU/Cache, and Memory test for 8 hours, and a max peak there of 63 degrees.

Gaming runs hotter in Cyberpunk, likely because the old Founders Edition 3090 is also spewing out some hot air.

Also, what AMD's Robert Hallock says about temps on the 5000 series, and the image he provided in interview.

Finally got a chance to fit my new 5900x. I'm coming from a 8700k so needed a new mb. Went for the Asus TUF Gaming x570-plus but when I boot the yellow DRAM error led on the mb stays lit and system won't boot. The ram is on the QVL list for the mb and from reading around the web it seems the mb bios is probably the issue. Anyone successfully updated the bios without using a gen 2 Ryzen CPU?

No USB flashback on your board sadly.

Have you tried with just 1 DIMM in the motherboard to get the BIOS updated to the latest?

Yeah, I've tried 1 DIMM, different ram configs, different RAM modules. The manual does say the mb has ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3 but I can't seem to get it to work. Not sure if this only recovers a crashed BIOS or enables you to update the BIOS.
