I need an occasional use ladder for some outside jobs on the house. Cleaning the gutters etc.

Standard sized 1950 terrace house be all accounts. So 5.5-6m to the gutters?

Any recommendations?

Pay someone to clean your gutters :p

Seriously though that’s what I do hate ladders and a decent one person ladder would be quite expensive.

if you’re dead set then wickes have dozens to suit your budget

I personally would get someone to clean my gutters rather than going up a tall ladder nowadays.

I did go up a triple height ladder to fix bits and bobs on our Victorian villa - very high up and definitely life-threatening if I fell. Didn't think much of it then but now it gives me shivers thinking what might have happened if the ladder slipped/I fell.

I have toyed with the idea with just getting someone in to do it, but recently there are a couple of other jobs which I’ve been putting off because of the lack of a ladder.
