Considering I've just taken the lead in the Port Royal OC benchmark thread by a mere 2 points i would have to agree with you :D

As for this benchmark i think my 2 hurdles are getting a higher CPU score via some nice g-skill 4400+mhz ram ( should hit around 17000+ cpu ) and getting more power to the core via an EVGA 500w bios although i really wanted to see how far the stock 480w strix bios got me i think my current score is it for now:)

I’ve come to conclusion the 5950x is useless for Port Royal right now. I got 15k with 2130 and 15k with 2235 so going to wait for my new water block as my Strix came with the old back plate with serious coil whine and crap cooling and will water cool my ram to keep it under 40C and get 4000 CL14 which will help with other benchmarks.
Hopefully by then too they will have sorted a better AGESA.

For Port Royal I'm pretty sure the CPU has very very little impact on the final score which is why 5th place is on a 7700k above 9900k users etc  15K is still an excellent score , i would post it up .... my 1st strix had loads of coil whine while this replacement as a hell of a lot better ( almost silent ) . Ram wise i am currently using the Team group 8 pack stuff from Overclockers .. 3600mhz cl16 but have upped the frequency to 4000mhz and kept the main timings but tighten a few secondary timings ( 4000mhz , cl16-16-16-32 ). all the top 10900K users seem to be using the G-Skill 4400/4600/4800 kits so will see what i can get my hands on and try improve my scores as it certainly helps in this benchmark and may transfer in to gaming performance as well :D

Im not sure if its to do with the chipset or AGESEA, but a lot of people have reported losing 500 points on Port Royal switching from 10900k to 5950X. Im hard capped at 15k no matter what gpu clock i do. Same with Timespy Standard. I can get 23k GPU score easily, but increasing the GPU clock signifacantly does nothing. Time Spy Extreme and other 4k benchmarks work fine though. If you look at the Hall of Fame you will see those with a 10900 require less GPU clock to achieve the same score as those running a 5950X at 2235+ in a lot of the non 4k benchmarks.

15k in todays standards is no longer in the top 100 lol. When it comes to gaming Im using an undervolt at 1980 @ 0.893 at 70% power limit until I get my Ram watercooled. The heat generated over a period of time at 2100 mhz sends the ram above 45C

Just got my new Link-up PCI4.0 Riser fitted so quick a OC on the card to test its stability and it seems to be fine and working great. I need to get some games played to truly test it out but so far so good.

I set the card back to all default as its fast enough for gaming and general use. :)

Score: 17780
GPU Score: 18488
CPU Score: 14612

Yay! You did it

Couldn't get 19.5 with the strix, still not convinced score is right for these clocks on the ftw3 either. Nice tweek for cpu found though which is cool. Need to have a play with mem (still at 3600 4 sticks and can't find 3800c14 for sale anywhere) and see if I can boost gpu. Wish I didn't have a broken leg, rig would be straight out to the garage for some colder air! Stroll on wc...

that CPU score is insane. How did you get that! Was it that new version 2 oc software?
