You cannot really moan about mining on here as overclockers have a crypto and mining section setup for people to discuss.

No retailer cares who they sell overpriced cards to, and half of them are probably sitting on 100's of opened and unopened cards which will be soon to be sold as open box.

No one cares except pc gamers and pc gamers right now are 2nd in line for cards.

That's not true, We've limited high demand graphics cards to one per customer since the last mining boom caused supply shortages. We've done all we can to discourage miners from buying from us. In the last two days alone I've personally told half a dozen 'miners' wanting to bulk buy cards from us to look elsewhere because we're not interested in their business.

It's not resellers who are supplying these mining farms.

Nice to see some distributors still hoping prices correctly, just a shame you need to have a big enough account with them/credit :(

@ScottiB

guessing that includes b2b side as well :)

Well looks like zotac have learnt their lesson . Least EVGA was smart to do a mining GPU and cash in indirectly

yes we had some regular mining customers during the first boom, I even visited one of their farms in Iceland once. We've not sold to any of them in a loooong time.

.

Of course you can thats silly, same way you can moan about consoles, Virgin Broadband or cross stitch all of which have sections on here.

Also OCUK well publicised in the GPU threads they didnt want cards to go to miners.

I don't see how anyone can argue that gaming isn't economically productive - it's a $159bn market. You're buying games and the hardware to run them, not to mention visiting any number of gaming websites funded by advertising.
