Nvidia have a bigger supply chain and more money to cut through red tape. AMD arnt the only ones struggling to get stuff to the UK. Can't even ship from Germany ATM with DHL or dpd etc. It's a mess ATM.
Yep. I often order watches from Ali Express and some of the storefronts have distribution centers in Spain or Poland. Since Brexit they no longer deliver to the UK from these European distribution centers. Everything has to come from China now.

Hi guys, I didn't run timespy since a while so I don't know exactly how might this have started: Timespy is crashing with a driver timeout error (black screen freeze and bug report tool). I have my 6800xt oc, but I have tried stock and still I have this error. Considering that I never had an issue even with the oc and very good timespy results, might this be a new driver issue? Games like cyberpunk works just fine. thank you

works fine for me with the 6800 and latest driver, if using the steam version run an integrity check :)

I'm still getting occasional full blown lockups and BSoD with "video memory management internal", thought it was a Warzone thing but happened in Valorant too. Normally after extended playtime but thermals are all fine, no overclock.

Thought it might have been a PSU thing as despite having a RM850i my previous Vega64 died so thought there might be an issue so bought a brand new Focus GX-850 just in case but still happening. DDU'd loads and done fresh drivers too.

BSoD report is blaming "watchdog.sys", I guess just re-install all drivers again and hope for the best?

running re-size bar? i used to see these on vega pre swap to 6800 when re-size bar first came out on older bios with gigabyte aurous pro x570, dont get it anymore with the newer bios's. not sure if its coincidence but if you do have re size bar, try and see if you get them when you disable it. if that works update the bios if you are out of date.

I'm running a 3600x on a B450 Tomahawk Max so no re-sizable bar. Well it is supported now I believe so I could update the bios although not looking at getting a 5000 CPU for a while at least.

Just read the crash report and it's caused by "watchdog.sys"

coincidence in that case, what driver version are you running? how did you update/install it?

ps you don't need 5000 for resize bar, i have a 3900 and it works good. your thinking of the smart access memory version which is exclusive to 5000 :)

Pretty sure I updated drivers early in Feb so fine for a couple of weeks and then three crashes in 3 days over the weekend.

Crashed (according to BlueScreen View):

nothing for a while

sorry what i mean is did you tick the factory reset option, you can also tick the option to keep your settings and it will restore them. might be worth a shot. ive seen this fix quite a few issues.

Nothing, tried the cache stuff. Now rolling back to an older version to see what's going on. It's possible that a gpu driver error might be related to cpu oc/ ram oc?

Edit: Now I had a scary screen with lines after another timespy crash, like if the gpu is ****** up. Hard reboot, I tried superposition and everything worked like a charm (11260 in 1080p extreme, not bad right?). So what's wrong with timespy?

Hello OC,

I just got my new and shiny "gigabyte rx6800xt gaming oc". I own 2 AOC G2460PG monitors. I installed fresh windows 10 and the latest Adrenalin drivers. I face 2 major problems at the moment and I made this account specifically to ask if anyone else experiences these issues.

Setup:
  • drivers are set as default i have not done any additional settings.
  • monitors are connected with display ports both if them.
  • i have had these monitors for 5 years and used a nvidia 980ti with them up until the new gpu with no issues of any sort.
Computer:
- Computer Type: Desktop
- GPU: Gigabyte 6800 XT GAMING OC 16G
- CPU: Intel Core i7-6700
- Motherboard: AsRock Z170 Gaming K6+
- BIOS Version: P1.10
- RAM: CorsairVengeance LPX 16 GB (4 x 4 GB) DDR4 3000 MHz C15
- PSU: Corsair CP-9020062-UK RM Series RM1000 80 Plus Gold
- Case: Thermaltake Level 10 GT Gaming Tower Black
- Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 10 PRO 19042.804
- GPU Drivers: AMD Drivers 2021.0217.1053.19592
- Chipset Drivers: ?
- Background Applications: DISCORD, Firefox, Logitech G HUB, SteelSeries Engine 3, GMMK_Keyboard, ManicTime Tracker, Steam
- Monitors: 2x AOC 24 inch G-SYNC 144 Hz

Problem 1. When i boot into windows 1 of the 2 monitors tends to be locked in 640x480@59hz resolution and there are no available modes in the properties. What then have to do is set windows not to extend the displays but to show only on the one with the 1920x1080@144hz resolution pull the cable from the second monitor, plug it back in and set it to extend and then it works fine until:

Problem 2. If i leave the monitors to turn off because of power saving and i come back in lets say an hour, and move the mouse, one of the two monitor presents with artifacts and eventually switches off with a no-signal message. I remove the cable and plug it back in - works fine.

Troubleshooting:
- I have reinstalled the drivers multiple times
- I have re-seated the GPU and changed the PCI port
- I bought new display-port cables
- I set custom resolution in the AMD drivers which seems to have made the resolution issue show less often, but still happens
- I tried switching between Clone, Extend, Show only on X to see if i can fix it without hot swap. Doesn't work, but when set to Clone I can see the GPU is trying to output 1920x1080 on the display showing 640x480

Other information:
- In device manager the Monitors tend to show as "Generic PnP Monitor", but I can see in the properties the model has been identified by windows.
- IN device manager I can see there is a 3d monitor which from the properties seems to be labeled as AMD

Quick update on this: after several tries, I realized today that when it crashes with the timeout driver issue, the bench goes on loading the graphic tests and finishes it succesfully. Basically it crashed in the introductory video sequence, but then loads the graphics and cpu tests wihtout any errors.

sounds like a codec issue then perhaps?
