So everything was working fine.
Powered off pc, when went to power back on, no video output. Unplugged video cable from gpu and into onboard. Instant display, **** my graphics card is dead I thought. Not even showing in device manager.

Took pc apart, reseated gpu, still no output from it.
Put in a different gpu, output fine, confirmed my suspicion. Right? Wrong.

1 last time tried the apparentely broken gpu, now it works? Great everything is good.

Next time I restart pc, again no output. Only this time, now onboard has no output either!!
After maybe 10 power off and power on, suddenly it displays again and everything working fine.. until next power off of course.

Update from above
After 4 weeks running fine, had to power off pc, now I cant get a display on boot at all. I've done several gpu reseatings, tried onboard, power on off around 20 times. Everything that worked beforehand is not working now. Each time pc was powered off then power on it became more difficult to get display, but once powerd on 100% stable for weeks.

Any idea?

Anybody?
What would cause a deterioration in ability to post with each power off/on. 100% stable once it does.
Still not got it up and running after trying all day. Other times this happened it eventually did but no luck so far.
Dead motherboard?

Have you tried the GPU in the lower slot?

Even the onboard will not output now.
1st time I notice issue, onboard was working, then gpu slot started working again.
2nd time, onboard stopped working, didn't take out gpu, after few reboots it worked.
now nothing at all

I suspect expansion/contraction from heat, caused by power off each time affected some damaged solder on motherboard and made it separate a bit more each time, now its impossible.
What part of motherboard should I be looking at related to video output, maybe can point a heatgun at it.

Could be bad capacitors on mobo or GPU. Try warming whole lot up with a hairdryer and then switch on. I have an acer all in one computer that takes many tries to get it started if turned off - but works fine if left on. It will restart ok too as long as it's still warm.
