A couple of particle physicists trying to explain to non-scientists why it's so fascinating that the result of experimental measurement of one property of one particle that exists for a miniscule fraction of a second is 2.00233318412 instead of the expected 2.00233318362. Their enthusiasm is inspiring. The difference has no known effect on anything and still might be (but almost certainly isn't) experimental error. The reason for their delight is that the reason for the difference is something unknown, an answer to be sought and that's treasure to them.
