That's handy. Going to the stores was a huge pain

I've been using an eSIM for a while now on EE. When you break your phone (well, now you can do it on the app it seems) you had to pop to your local ee store with proof of ID and they'll issue you QR Code

When I did this for my son for his iPhone I had to go into the store. which they then sent one out in the post. it then deactivated the physical sim, so he ended up with no service until the one arrived in the post. has this changed at all?

I've been using them since the iPhone XS launched a few years ago. Never had them send me a new esim (has a replacement esim during last year) and they'd always give it to me in the store
