Is 1 X 360mm rad enough for a 3090 & 3700x?

Will 1 360mm rad be enough for a 3700x and a 3090 or will I need another one do you think?

I am swaying more toward 2 to be honest, but I'm interested to see others experience on temps with just one

1 360 will do the job just fine , but its dependent of the fans and how fast you need them to spin to keep the loop temps at an acceptable level. Personally I'd opt for the second rad and have more radiator surface area, lower fan speeds and a quieter rig.

One will be ok as long as both the CPu and gpu are stock or if you even undervolt the 3090. If you plan to overclock either of them you will need two radiators

It will work. Used a 360mm with a 3090 and 9900k in my HTPC build. Temps as you can imagine are not spectacular. Was reaching mid 50's on the GPU and that was with fans running relatively high RPM. Added in more radiator capacity (externally) and dropped that temp by 15 degrees.

It may work but personally I wouldn't do it, especially if it's a thin rad. Temps are going to be poor and you are going to need to run the fans at a higher rpm meaning more noise. Either a pair of very good 280mm rads such as Black Ice Nemesis GTX or a pair of 360mm rads would be the way I would go.

Ok, thanks for confirmation, i will deifnately go with 2 rads. the 360 i have is a 30mm one, nothing special, but does the job well on my CPU alone.

Yeah nah. The 3090 needs more than or equal to a 360 rad on its own if you want better than the stock cooler for air...

Isn't the rule 120mm rad a space per 120watt of power?

yeah, which would mean you need a single 360mm rad just for a stock 3090. This doesn't mean you couldn't get away with a smaller radiator or having additional components like the cpu in the loop, however the temps will be high and not much better than any air cooling
