Build spec for solidworks

Hi all,

I have a friend who wants a PC for solidworks. From what he has said he needs to run flow simulations and stress calculations.

Google seems to point in favour for Intel for solidworks. He already has a case, brand new PSU and a RTX Quadro 4000.

I've not built a PC for about 6 years so I am well out the loop. Can anyone advise on the below if its a good pick / any known compatibility issues or recommend anything else?

INTEL CORE I5-11600K 3.90GHZ (ROCKET LAKE) SOCKET LGA1200 PROCESSOR - RETAIL
MSI MAG B560 TORPEDO (SOCKET LGA 1200) DDR4 ATX MOTHERBOARD
VULCAN Z T-FORCE 32GB (2X16GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHZ DUAL CHANNEL KIT - GREY (2 sets of these)

edit - oh and he said he has a CPU cooler already!

Google isn't reliable with even linking scam sites like LuserBenchmark.

AMD has clear overall lead in Solidworks.

He should really look at 5xxx series Ryzen CPU if he can fit them in the budget for simulations, and they offer significantly better performance and upgrade options should he wish to in future, having the ability to jump from 6c/12t to 16c/32t is great as it is a 15 minute upgrade but could make a system last a great deal longer.

The other factor is the B550 motherboards tend to be slightly better at the price point, the MSI MAG B550M MORTAR is only ~£110, and will happily run with 128GB RAM, so again leaving room for upgrade by going for a 2x 32GB kit, rather than 4x 16GB, and will cost a similar amount. Actually you can get some good 3600MHz 64GB (2x 32GB) for under £300 right now.
