Microsoft are/we’re going to post a blog about why the need for TPM2.0, not sure if this is it or if there is a follow up. Still at least worth a read.

Seems very targeted at businesses and I'm not convinced why they would be considering upgrading as a matter of urgency anyway as they're mostly using the OS to run an executable which will remain running just fine in W10 as will their browser or email client. Seems like they're trying to use a hammer to smash a nut that no one asked them to fix. Better to stop intrusions into the network and staff opening email attachments which I'm guessing TPM is going to do jot about.

The position has been perfectly adequate since Windows 95, so if it ain't broken don't fix it.

Hmm I would say Windows is about more than the position of the taskbar icons.

So you are saying all this time MS has been working on a new (cough) OS to just move the icons I can do right now in Startisback?

I never said that. What I meant was why move to windows 11 if your going to move it back to how it was on windows 10 lol

I admit it is basically Win 10 but still setting things out/customising the way you like it part of what Window used to be about.

They may get it right with Win 12 but way things are going I doubt it

Android apps, side loading of and integrated amazon android store within the MS Store. Although I doubt any business will allow any of that.

Downloading Insider Win 11 right now from WU.

Imaged my PC to spare SSD earlier.

No TPM needed and CPU does not need be on list but you can not change Branches (some will not let you install Win 11 due to your Spec) I am already in DEV so lucky I can still test till RTM.
