Good Vega 64 replacement?

Now that it's actually possible to buy a card and prices have started to come down out of the stratosphere I was wondering what a good replacement for my Vega 64 might be - I haven't kept up at all for months.

I'm not looking to change anything else so it'll be paired with a 3700X and a 2560x1080 monitor, and I'm going to let the prices settle a bit more before I buy so there's no rush, but I wanted to know where I should be aiming.

One of the reasons the Vega 64 has to go is the horrible coil whine that mine has, so if there are any brands or models to steer clear of on that front please let me know!

I went from the Vega64 to the 6700XT. Cracking card and a noticeable improvement in gaming. I game at 1440P and have no interest in Ray Tracing. I think the 6700XT hits the sweet spot. Similar to you I have the B550 chipset motherboard and 32GB RAM, just that I game with the 5800X CPU.

EDIT: Just editing my post to add context, I suppose we could all recommend a 3080 or 3090 GPU but I was assuming the OP didn't have a silly £2k budget for a Vega64 replacement. So hopefully my response will be seen to be a measured one. Otherwise if someone ever asks for a GPU recommendation we should just recommend 3090 and other top tier cards. ;)

Yeah only need a spare 1.5k for that

Seriously though it isn't a great time to upgrade as you're paying well over the odds at the moment with no end in sight.

6700xt or 6800/xt if you can find one. I have the sapphire 6800xt nitro+ and the Sapphire 6700xt Nitro+ and they are both great cards. The 6800xt is noticeably a lot better at 1440p UW.

Ive always been team Amd but switched this time round. Only because its nearly impossible to get a card at a reasonable price these days. Ive gone from a stock vega 56 to an asus dual oc 3070.
Massive improvement and gaming at 4k .

A balanced card and the fastest is the 6700xt.
Many buy dumb expensive cards and dont upgrade their hardware like cpu along the way.
6700xt runs great at 1080p, 1440p and 4k.
Cant go wrong with amd

I just dont think the 6700xt is a 4k card at least not on modern titles, 1080p and 1440 yes but it struggles at 4k where the 6800xt doesn't, AMD agree with this as on the box my 6800xt says 4k and the 6700xt says 1440p. :) not saying it's a bad card, not at all, I have one but it's not up there with the 6800xt for 4k gaming.
