help with New PC... I don't have a clue

I am buying my 11 year old a PC(first one) for gaming, would the following spec be ok for that for the cost £800

Intel Core i5-10400F, Nvidia GTX 1660 Super 6GB, 16GB RAM, 240GB SSD, 1TB HDD, 400W 80+ PSU, Wi-Fi, Windows 10, MB520

Going to be tight with gpu prices at mo. GTX 1660 £359 on OCuk. Seen the following as a bundle elsewhere if you search

EVGA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB SC GAMING Turing GPU with EVGA 600 W2 ATX Fully Wired PSU for £379.99 which will be better value i think(2060 more equiv. to 1070ti), and youll have access to dlss as rtx based card

I wouldn't bother with a 240gb ssd and 1tb hhd, combined you'd be close to the same price as a 1tb SN550 @ £89.99

Cpu is £150, case above is £35ish away. windows key £20ish if you search..that leaves £130 ish for mobo and ram. 16gb ram ..crucial ballistix 3600C16 for £79 is top notch..worth paying the £10 more to get it compared to rest I've seen, mobo, sure someone can point you in right direction for intel board better than me, but add £50 odd to budget and think you're in ballpark

Are you buying a prebuild or building it yourself?

Given the price you've listed I'd assume it's a prebuild.

Good call, just highlighted spec and did a search..on a certain rainforest website(am I allowed to say that or that too much info) for £794.40. Ram 2400Csomething, doesn't say, mobo h410.

Are you interested in building yourself or prebuild only?
