£30k budget

My best mate has decided after years of hard work and raising a family and never having a car of his own (he usually gets to drive the Galaxy :)) that he wants something.

He has a budget of about £30k and is looking at F Types and M2s.

He would be looking at 2015 or so years. Would prefer manual but not completely against Auto.

Any comments?

Yea, these threads are usually pointless :D

Spec my mate a car threads never work. There is no discussion as the person buying the car isn't involved in it, so it just becomes a load of people randomly recommending stuff.

If it was you who wanted it we could have an interesting discussion about what you like, don't like, etc etc. But it isn't, so we can't :p

Not quite, I need at least a week with a car to find pros/cons... 15-30 min even 1h test drive isn't enough IMHO.

I would say M2C, but the prices shot through the roof recently... Maybe an M4? The OG M2 has N55, quite dated and not very exciting... Idk what they were thinking putting it in an M car...
