Wood prices are insane at the moment. Selco was the best when i did mine, just need to know a trademan to get a customer number

Although they are probably double the normal price right now, wood mills make more selling as wood pellet to power stations than for fences.

Thanks chaps. Everything is expensive right now. Postcrete isn't looking great. Still, the fence is literally collapsing into my neighbours garden and they're just too polite to complain.

So it been hot, well after ripping all the copper out and helping the plumber set new out, it was positively cool coming out the loft. Tuesday was a killer :)

All ready for the monster boiler, all 55kg of it.

Spent a week or 3 modifying the sofa. it's a perfect fit width wise for the room, but the armrest came out so far it stopped the door opening fully. Only had the sofa for 5 years so now is the time to change it...

The problem
PXL_20210627_115700368.jpg

The row of staples from the factory which missed the piece of wood they were meant to be in
PXL_20210703_124055513.jpg

Surprised how cheap the construction was under the fabric

And the end result, it made sense to keep the end at 90 degrees so the fabric was a good fit still. Pleased with how it turned out.

I doff my hat to you, brave guy but I guess a sofa of that age may be due for replacement anyway.

Having paid for assembly, only to be told on delivery that they don’t assemble these items, I obtained a refund and then assembled a triple wardrobe, a double wardrobe and some drawers. A fun Sunday.

Starting to build my wife's bike back up now that its back from the carbon specialists with no issues. I wasn't expecting it this soon so didn't order all the parts in time for her race this weekend, so she'll have to make do with the temporary bike for now.

As well as just putting everything I took off back on (had to be stripped for carbon inspection) the replacement items going on are; Handlebars, bottom bracket, rear derailleur hanger, shifter hoods and cables/cable housing.

Waiting on some cables before I start to tackle the inner frame cable routing, then I can add the crankset and handlebar tape and it's pretty much done. Wheels, brakes and seat then can be swapped from the temp bike.

Temp bike cleaned too.

There has to be people on here who like me put off cuts of timber away in the dry for a rainy day.
This is part of a 10 year savings plan - Cut the whole lot up for starting sticks - Sods law means I will want it next week for a job SWMBO has come up with.
Saw dust everywhere. Just got to split it now.
