Swapping out drive on single bay Synology DS118 NAS

Hi All,

I'm looking to remove the existing drive from my Synology 1 bay DS118. Putting it to one side
and retaining the data. I will then put a new drive in the DS118 and use it for a different purpose.

The drive I'm removing will go into a new DS118 once they come back into stock. Can anyone forsee any potential issues with this?

Is the drive encrypted in any way?
if so it`may` have problems if put into a different/new caddy/synology
Something to check out maybe?
