Since there's a Bond thread, I might as well post these. I was in New Bond Street last week and spotted this so took some photos. I must admit, I was shaken. And stirred.

I still don't know how Dave Bautista managed to jump into that jag and squeeze himself in so quickly and so easily.

Craig is a superb Bond. But he's only really had one superb script and director and that was Casino Royale, 15 years ago.

Can we get Martin Campbell back for the next one?

I enjoyed Craig in Casino Royale. It was quite a beautifully shot movie but overall I still couldn't take to Craig. I also enjoyed Skyfall and Spectre but I still prefer Brosnan over Craig. Brosnan follows up that style Moore and Connery had in the modern era.

Brosnan's only really good movie was GoldenEye, directed by Martin Campbell. Coincidence, I think not

I agree. Brosnan embodied both the suave and dangerous sides of Bond. Craig always seemed to be (to me) more weighted on the dangerous, physical side. He looks battered and jaded with none of the suave element.

Brosnan was perfect for Goldeneye and in turn Goldeneye was the perfect bond film. Enough severity, seriousness and gravitas in the plot, script and cast but still some well timed light hearted moments. It was a stand out film in its era too.

Sadly the latter Brosnan bond films went full fast and furious esq. I still enjoyed them though.

I've enjoyed all of Craig's films. Some better than others but that's been no different to any other bond actor's franchise.

No Time To Die wasn't quite as I was expecting and despite a few elements given away in the trailers they managed to keep the plot under wraps enough that I didn't stumble across spoilers. Certainly one to see at the cinema and it wouldn't have the same impact at home.

Saw it last night, nice mix of action, bond humour and globe trotting, in the vein of all craigs films but a good way to bow out!

Warning, please don't click below if you want to avoid major plot spoilers but for those who have seen it, I would welcome your thoughts.

This is the first time they have properly killed Bond and Felix off though. I really wasn't expecting this. It feels very finite ie not a cut away moment where either character could have deus ex machina survived (eg dark knight trilogy approach).

So it either ends the franchise completely for a long time and rumours of a new cast of bond happening have been false and just to avoid spoilers, or which I suspect it means we will now get a non James Bond but still 007 designation series of films.

There were clear spoken references to 007 just being a designation in the film.

Thus they are free to cast whoever as 007, Bond as a character is now dead and gone but the franchise remains in the 'James Bond Universe'

There has always been continuity of actors and assets in the Bond films (M/Cars/Q etc) even if different actors play Bond. The ending of NTTD doesn't allow this for Bond himself in my view in the same way.

The Broccoli estate has always strongly defended the JB franchise and castings so this would allow a break from it.

I think the joke about it being just a number implies that it will no longer just be "james bond" but an agent so it can continue from now. End of the day its been the latest bond film but 007 is just as iconic

I really loved the boat chase at the start of The World is not Enough. Plus it was a lovely Italian lady Bond was chasing.

Even the music has the Moore era vibe as if it was The Man with the Golden Gun or The Spie Who Loved Me.

Craig is a cracking bond. You feel like he could actually take some of the punishment meted out to him whereas Bronson was far too lightweight. Both had their upsides.

Again, please don't open the below if you don't want major spoilers
At the end of the credits the words James Bond Will Return came up, so there are more reboots coming

Just came home from this, spoilerish thoughts below:

Huge plot holes, a villain with no real end game. Great set pieces and overall I loved it.

Not gonna lie, I did have a sniffle when the end credits rolled

Hands down the best Bond for me. But then I have the controversial opinion that all pre-Brosnan Bond films are hysterically bad. I get if you grew up with them then they are good as they fit the times in terms of what the effects and story allowed, but to watch them now, they just stink. Whoever follows Craig has massive shoes to fill

I saw it last night and thought it was fantastic. Obviously slightly biased by the excitement of the whole event itself - but I do think the film is excellent fun. Some great action, the comedic moments/one-liners were absolutely on point and not too "Bond-ey", and there's some great emotion to it as well. People will pick holes in the plot itself but you know what, it's a Bond movie.

Two friends have been to see it and hated it as both said it wasnt "Bondy" at all so they didnt like it.
