Trolley Jack Service - DIY?

Evening All,

I have a 1.5t trolley jack which is leaking from it's main cylinder/ram? It's identical to this but as the retailer involved (SGS) have been absolutely atrocious in delivering any form of customer service (it's still in warranty and been used only 3 times) I will just do it myself.

Sealey have confirmed they have a spares kit available but I am unsure if I will need any specialist tools for this?

Sounds like it will need a new seal...so it depends if you can get the seals?

Thanks, I said above Sealey confirmed the have the spares I need.

I'm just wondering whether I'll need any specialist tools.

You will probably something large to unscrew the end of the ram. Apart from that should be simple with basic tools.

You may need a pair of circlip pliers. You can get a set on Ebay for around £15 that are perfectly fine for using every now and then.
