Is anyone else finding the Face ID not as responsive at times on their new iPhone

I think my 12 pro was better. Wife got it and it never failed. I’ve had a few failed on 13 pro

It’ll still be learning/updating. Your 12 had months of updating to get it spot on.

But it not miss a beat on the wife and she only just got it. I don’t recall it having issues when I first got the 12 pro

I’ve always had. Screen protector but no case. As I did scratch my screen on the 11 pro somehow.

No I have a case. And I hate it. But the case I want isn’t in stock yet.

A work colleague had this on one of their old phones. He just deleted his face and went through the process to re-learn it and then it was perfectamundo.

They've combined the dot projector and flood illuminator into a single unit on the 13 so it's at least possible this hardware change has resulted in a slight difference in performance.

Face ID still the same no where as good as the 12 pro. Done 7 resets.

wonder if the screen protector effecting it but not bad this issue in past
