Impressions are as follows :

Person 1 - Its good, I'm enjoying it, looking forward to release, liking it more than BF1/V
Person 2 - Its terrible, literally the worst game in computing history
Person 3 - Its pretty good, got a few issues but the beta build is 3 months old so hopefully those will be addressed by release
Person 4 - Its basically a copy/paste of Warzone
Person 5 - Theres no scoreboard, how can I show off to people how awesome my k/d is
Person 6 - Is this the new Valheim expansion?

Swear I saw a leader board ....

I hate not having a proper scoreboard, it just makes no sense to remove the standard k/d/points.

I'm also not a fan of the specialist, most BF games have some essence of team play, this has absolutely none.

On the flip side, I dropped down to Medium to gain some FPS and it still looks good. Using 2070S.

Why?

I can understand having the points maybe but why the K/D ? If I spend the round as a medic and our team holds onto flags purely on the basis of my heals and rezzes, I dont get kills for all that, so on a chart of K/D it would look like I have done nothing all round yet in fact I have been vital to my teams success. IMO it actually makes no sense , in a team based game, to have individual K/D because the K/D of the individual is irrelevant, all that matters is whether the team won or not. Much as if I score a hattrick in football but my team loses 12-3 then my hattrick is irrelevant because my team lost. Its the fundamental difference imo between the team winning and the individual winning. But I can see why for some people not being able to show off their own personal K/D is a big thing and most likely those folk will have some sort of tracking site available so that they can create their little forum signatures showing off their K/D stats on so they can be happy that way :)

all vehicle players.....:p

I did find it hilarious yesterday when someone jumped into a chopper and obviously figured they were going to get loads of kills by spawn camping the top of the Tower building but instead spent the whole time that they were in the heli unable to shoot because my drones emp charges kept them locked out of being able to shoot :D

Go play an infantry only game then if you don't like vehicles. Really amazes me that someone considers a 60 tonne tank to be "op" vs infantry, i mean who'd have thought it?

its a tank and thats understood but the vehicles are op. its why the top players are always in them. if they werent op the infy players would have the same scores as vehicle players. i understand its battlefield i played probably 10000hrs or more. the balance just isnt great though. bfbc2 had really good infy vs vehicle balance. it all really started with bf3 and continued since.

Yeah I've locked to 60fps for now as the fps bounces a little and I think this just gives a smoother play... 1440P with HIGH settings smack on 60fps. Thast'll do for me for now until we get some optimisations but I'm sure it's needing DLSS for the nVidia boys and Fidelity FX for us AMD lads just to boost it a little! Considering I can run BFV on HIGH averaging 93fps with the AMD RIS set to 80%... this game does NOT look anything like as polished as BFV right now so...

That has to be the worst argument ever, a tank deals a lot more damage than infantry per shot and can absorb more, unless an infantry player somehow has tank armour and a tank cannon they're not gonna be on par with good vehicle players. A good squad of players could be on par score wise but a single infantry player unless they're insanely good or hacking won't deal the same damage.

The beta is a 3 month old build, I really wouldn't place any opinions on polish right now. It's probably mostly already done. They just needed as close to a stable build as they had to push out for beta as it was dragging out.

Not really a surprise though is it, the cheaters are and always will be, more effective at breaking anticheat than anticheat is at stopping them. Whether there would be cheats was never the big question, there was always going to be especially on such a major title, its how EA reacts to the cheats that is the key. It would be the height of naivety to think there wouldnt be cheats at all.

While I agree with a teamplay game like the Battlefield series should be it makes more sense to prioritise a metric of that on the scoreboard (and IIRC BF4 at least sorts by points) it is pretty meh not to have K/D stats as well - not everyone likes them just for showing off.

I cant think of any other reason for them than showing off, you can see your own K/D whenever you want ingame, why , other than to show off, would you want anyone else to see them?
