As some may know, my car got written off so looking for cheap replacement. Preferences are, approx £3k, average mileage, low tax, good condition / reliable.

I saw a VW Polo, 5 dr for £3.5k, 08 plate approx 57k mileage, full service history, good condition....

These good reliable cars people? Ta

I'd planned on getting a golf or focus or similar a few months ago, when looking to spend up to about £5k. I'd given my old Polo to my brother in law last year as it was a bit knackered, and we weren't needing a 2nd car whilst I worked from home at that time.

But then found that I could get an Audi A4 Cabriolet for just as cheap as a golf, so got one of those! £3400 for an 09, 2.0 tdi. It's miles better than a polo.

I sent me the wife's 2010 with 65k on the clock 2 years ago for £3500 sounds expensive that.

They are nice little cars. Didn't mind driving it after driving a van all day.
