I see you can pre-order the standard version for £38.99. Not sure if I can name the website. It is tempting. I have enjoyed it more since I got to play a couple of hours today, even with my ageing system. I set everything to medium and played around with nVidia filters. Looked very nice but max frames was in the high 40s. Eventually turned the fps counter off rather than torture myself that I need to upgrade.

Is that 38.99 a steam or origin platform? Obviously I know that either way it launches origin, just wondered which its for

Well that might be me out then ha

Not to worry, you dont need to be there from the start, you can always join in several months if its more to your liking then or if not just skip this one and try the next online shooter out instead. If its particularly an online shooter you're seeking and if not then thats good too as there are an insane number of really good games coming in the next 12 months. Theres just not enough time in the day ! :D

I couldn’t fathom the helicopter controls, and attempting to remap seemed to have no effect. Hopefully this will be resolved by launch, as I used to enjoy high speed flying between buildings in BF3/4. Didn’t seem worth spending a chunk of my time during a 2 day beta to try and fix it!

I just find triggers for elevation and roll/pitch on the same stick far more intuitive than what they’ve gone with!

Could have come on the Discord we use!

I used Mouse/Keyboard, got the hang of it in the end. So elevation was W/S, yaw was A/D, pitch was done with the mouse, seemed to work alright after a few tweaks.

This video actually sums up specialist's very well.

The specialist like many other bits of the game are broken and make no sense at all. Who at Dice thought that any of this was a good idea? surely if they asked any actual player they would have told them straight away it was terrible.

This isn't something they'll fix by release, for this and many other reasons they should delay this game until next year and have rethink of what they have done.

I'll be buying at release, my missus enjoyed the beta and has said she will also buy at release and our 2 friends that we grouped with through beta have already preordered. So I guess that stacks up exactly in line with the marmite you either like it or you dont nature of the game that we've seen throughout this thread :)
