CPU overheating.

I have this problem where my CPU is overheating when I am playing certain games and sometimes the computer just goes off when the tepmeratures go too high. My CPU is I7 7700K and I am using a stock intel cooler.

Take the side off the case. The temps should drop. If the system still shuts down it’s likely the HSF isn’t up to the task.

My motherboard is ASRock B250M PRO4 and RAM is 16 GB 2x8 2133 Mhz.

Its not helped by the motherboard being basic(and the RAM being slow) so you are loosing some performance there too. Hopefully,the new cooler and constant airflow should hopefully be enough to keep the CPU,and the motherboard VRMs cooler.Looking at this website the cooler should fit:
