Hi guys,

Going to be buying a custom pre built PC and deciding on a CPU for it, I game as well as stream and record at the same time.

So just wondering if I would see a difference from using a 10400f or a 5600x while streaming but using the nvenc GPU encoder.

Can anyone shed some light? Thanks

How big is the price difference between the two? If it's quite big then settling the for 11400F should be fine but the 5600X is the better performer.
Well I've found a deal, 5600x b550 MSI gaming edge and 16gb crucial 3200 for £400, so think I'll do that and hold on for a FE 3070ti, full build we be about £1300

Ive just put together a 5600x, B550, 16gb 3600 and 3070ti system, its a good balance I think, performance is great although not tried gaming + streaming yet. I do recall that Intel had issues with stutter when streaming and gaming, probably been resolved now but it was definitely a thing.

I'm literally about to order the same spec.

Found a good CPU mobo deal, so going to do that and get a 70ti FE card

So I can go to a 5800x or 11700f, but means moving GPU from 3080 to a 3070ti.

Still worth doing?

NO! but if going 3080 get the 5600X it is a significantly faster gaming CPU and the 3080 will need it, but either way the 3080 is always better than the 3070TI.

Edit: unless you get that good deal on the 3070TI, the 5600X is still worth the difference over the 10400F

I'm going to go for the 5600x system anyway I think, as found a CPU/mobo deal on it, and going to hold out for a 3070ti FE, should be around the £1200-1250 mark all in

3080 FE is absolutely worth the extra money over a 3070TI (talking MSRP prices here and this is obviously assuming you can actually get a 3080, they are the hardest Nvidia FE cards to get)
