Tried your phone?
If that sounds confusing I mean the software called your phone
Which is part of Windows
Depending how old/what version of Windows is on your laptop
Only tested it with Samsung phones where it's called
Link to windows and is in quick settings
Basically it mirrors your phone to your pc

OneDrive / GoogleDrive on your phone should move your images to a PC quite quick (at least that's what I use)

oh jeez i didnt think of onedrive and googledrive, my laptop is stuck in windows 7 old days lol so was just taking pictures for a lot of ebay stuff and most times if its a few things i just take pic on my phone and send it to myself through messenger, but this time i have a lot to take so was just checking if there was any new options out there thats all.

For eBay you can just start the listing on the computer and add the photos via the mobile app. Works very well, no need to be moving photos. You can even crop/rotate etc. in the app

Or the old fashioned way
Connect phone to pc with a usb cable
Little bit less convenient
But if it's for bulk moving photos not every single time you take one
It is fine
For Android phone at least you don't need software
Can just drag and drop from the DCIM folder
If you ever upgrade your laptop then nearby share
Is a faster method than Bluetooth for larger data transfer

I use Syncthing for this:
https://syncthing.net/

I share the camera folder on my phone, anything saved/modified in this folder is then automatically replicated on my PC to C:\PhoneCamera
And vice versa (can be multiple computers/cameras).

It's open source software and very popular and growing:
https://data.syncthing.net/

thanks for that info i will go check that out as that seams great :)

yeah the your phone app is pretty impressive
so a new windows 10 device would be good
you can view the photos that are on your phone
and literally drag and drop them
onto pc or use the copy option
it also gives you other functions
basically can control your phone and get messages etc on pc
play games using your mouse and keyboard
displayed on your pc
and probably other stuff i didnt even look at
all without a cable
and as windows 11 will eventually have subsystem for android
that may open up even more possibilities
its a good excuse to treat yourself to a new device anyway :)
even if all you ever end up using is the photo/file transfer capabilities
