Hypothetical question (for the time being at least…)

Not for gaming, but for photo editing, 8K would allow me 100% resolution views in LR or PS. Given it has 3 x DP 1.4 and HDMI rated for 4K, would an RTX3080 allow an 8k monitor to run @60Hz off 2x DP with the other DP or the HDMI running a 4K screen @ 60Hz?

Can’t find an obvious answer either way. Or would it require 2 x cards?

Pretty much any card over should be fine.

Just needs either hdmi 2.1+ or double DP FOR 8K and another for dp 4k

Probably would suggest a **50 card or better though..

Given that you are editing photos then you are going to want to disable Displaystream compression and that means that HDMI 2.1 is not a solution for 8k.

I was thinking the 4k would likely run off the HDMI (vs the 8k), or off the third DP

Sorry, probably being dumb here and missing something obvious, but wondered what you meant by an **50 card?

Not sure if it's what smogsy is referring to, but low-end cards can unexpectedly drop features present as standard in higher end cards, even if they're from the same architecture.
