Ok so I've committed to intel...
Rtx 3060 12gb GPU
B560m mortar WiFi
16gb crucial ballistix

Now, should I go for a i5-11600k or i5-11400 ?
Latter will save me money and has lower tdp. Not sure I'd notice the difference in speed but open to opinions!
I would get an after market cooler either way.

So, for 1080p gaming and office work, which i5 should do me well? I'm all up for saving money

Depends how close they are in price although for £150 the 11400F is hard to beat.

Maybe the savings will let you bump the GPU from a 3060 to 3060ti unless you already have the card? As the ti is quite a bit faster.

It's in stock at a few places just not for the £150 MSRP.

Intel have probably wound down supply on 11th gen to focus on the 12th gen which is releasing in a couple of weeks.

Actually chap, I would be tempted to buy this, sell the 1660super (one million quid on popular auction site) and fit the 3060.

    • Graphics Card:*Build Stock* Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER OC 6144MB GDDR6 Graphics Card

Cheers for the advice all!

I managed to get a b560m mortar WiFi for a great price so got it ordered... So now I'm left looking for the intel CPU. Will hold out a bit for finding an 11400 and if it goes nowhere I'll probably look for a 11500 or revert back to the plan of a 11600k, and get a slightly better CPU cooler than originally planned!

Don't really want to break £200 on the cpu but equally dont want to wait forever.

I bought the rtx 3060 on MM, but also will keep trying for a 3060ti FE...

I'm thinking I'll go for the coolermaster q300l or the kolink citadel mesh case with an arctic freezer eSports single or duo...
