Rumours are there will be a Crysis 4 depending upon the overall reception to this Crysis trilogy. They first tested the waters with the Crysis 1 remastered. It sold okay enough to green light the 2 and 3 remasters and they put much more effort here so that it sells even more. If it sells enough, Crysis 4 is supposed to be green lit. Since they are strapped for cash at the moment, it’s also why the game is only on Epic so they get more cut of the sales.

Afaik the only thing we know about the next Crysis is that it was planned to be a battle royale of sorts, this from when Crytek got hacked. Crysis 3 did meh sales numbers overall & they just gave up on single-player experiences being viable financially. Most of their money comes from Warface, which is PvP selling mtx, and Hunt, which is PvPvE, and to a lesser extent some VR work. So I'd be surprised if they do a Crysis 4 in the spirit of the trilogy.

Nice derail, why has this thread now turned into SC shilling.
they won't move to the next level of the pyramid unless they recruit enough backers before month-end.

Only £10 from Argie Epic for the trilogy so will pick up in the next few months when they finish patching.

A patch was released yesterday which increases AMD performance by 20-50%. They should do the benchmarks again.

That's not how it works. It's the oldest trick in the book no matter who is being favored. Release early numbers favoring the brand you want to promote and then ignore that there is clear issues with the game causing those numbers. When the game/benchmark is patched rarely anyone from the tech press will rerun the numbers cause why bother, the initial surge of people and therefor ad-revenue is already gone. Honesty and transparency be damned :(

Gotta agree, extremely shady, in 2 days they pulled out a patch out of their asses that gives AMD extra 30-50% increase? how convenient lol

The crazy thing is, I was looking through their GDC talks for Crysis 3 and they made the game with only 100 people (vs 150 for C2), and also in only about 26 months. They got short changed for C3 heavily, and now we're short-changed again with basically no significant changes in C3R. Was also funny to see at the end of one of their tech talks them waxing poetically about potential advances and what they'd look forward to, which was better solutions for global illumination and reflections.... yeah, at least they got one of those. Crazy amount of manual work went into C3's lighting though, which explains why it felt so sharply lit to me. I really wish they had postponed 3's remaster and did some proper work on it for a later release next year.
