Ive just swapped Mobo and CPU out from Intel to a Ryzen setup.

Installed a fresh copy of windows 10 onto SSD and just installing drivers for about an hour and then a blue screen.
LOADS of messing around, but Im down to the SSD, 1 memory stick and GFX and still getting various blue screen messages just booting from USB to try and install Windows and its not having it. Messages are :

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Recovery - 0xc0000221

Ive tried each one of my memory modules encase 1 is duff but always get smae sort of messages. I cant even install windows but can sit in BIOS for 20 min fine.

Ive done a CMOS clear also

Wonder if the ssd could be causing problems (think both those errors could be the result of corrupted files on a failing drive) - is it new or have you used it in the past? If you have any spare drives could you try installing Windows on one of those just to see if you get the same problem?

Not sure windows memory diagnostic
Is as good as memtest
The ram worked previously? It's not new?
Bit strange it ran so long before the first blue screens
You checked CPU temperature?
In the bios if can't boot windows though it will be lower
In the bios as CPU isn't doing anything

Windows mem test passed fine and I'm back using old system fine. Could cpu or mobo be bust...... not convinced as they did work and still sit in bios fine.

Memory too slow?

Not sure memory too slow would be an issue
CPU temperature?
Did you set xmp on ram?
Or just leave it where the bios put it?
As greatauk said if got a spare drive try that
As 840 pretty old though still got an 830 and 840 myself lol
And they're going strong

Could also try
Remake your windows install usb
Try a different usb to make it if got another
Or take the drive out the Intel machine
And try to boot of that
Usually nowadays it will boot ok going from Intel to amd
Not like years ago when trying that would
Guarantee blue screen

As jigger said is the ram on the qvl list
Though even if it isn't
Just means they don't test every single possible ram
If it is on the list though then it should work
Could just be it doesn't like that ram
Though not had any problems using different models of ram
Myself with 3xxx ryzens

Yes I tried 1 module and still same. All 4 work fine in my 6600k system.

.does your bios have a boot training/ram training option?
Not something I have ever used
But vaguely recall reading about it somewhere
Or manually lower the timings /play with voltage
There's also a gear down mode but never used that either

I have 32gb of ryzen tested ram for sale in MM
Or if you're near me
You can borrow it for testing
