Hi,

iv Accidentally riped out one of my GU10 downlights in the Kitchen.

There were two butterfly clips holding it in place.

Does anyone know which way the clips fit onto the unit and how to install it back into the ceiling?

Is to Photo A or Photo B?

Photo A. Then when inserting into ceiling hold the clips in position B and push into ceiling, the clips will then snap down on the plasterboard and hold the light in place.

Yes, bend them back on themselves so they are pointing up, when you put the fitting back into the ceiling they will spring back down and hold the fitting up :)

P.s. nice ninja edit from the first person to reply :p

so both the short and long clips should clear the depth of the plasterboard ?

How'd you rip it out in the first place? :D

I was angry....No in all seriousness I was stupid didn't know how to change the lamp inside, so I took it out to see, only realising after you just turn front anti-clock wise and it lets you change it. So I needn't have removed it at all at least I know now for next time.

Thanks again for all the help :D
