Gpu low usage, stuttering.

Hi,
my boys pc is stuttering in fortnite, the fps are up and down.
ive checked the gpu usage and it's shooting up and down .
Anyone got any ideas why gpu is not running properly.

Download msi afterburner and check cpu , gpu, and ram usuage.

Do you have games on a ssd ?

I've seen similar while trying to play on a TV over HDMI. Nvidia control panel/manage 3d settings and set preferred refresh rate to maximum available. I suspect the setting is only visible over hdmi, can't remember it being there on a monitor with display port. Symptoms were as you described though, frame rate and gpu usage all over the place.
