'97 Mk1 MX5 bought it for £3100 which at the time was WAY over the going rate but I wanted one that had never seen a welder and had been rust proofed early on.

8 years later I'm pretty please I paid the extra.

Well I paid £950 for my MX5 and spent around £15,000 to get it ready for being parked in my garage since 2014. Mind you I think it's worth about £950 again so that's alright then.

Living the dream and showing you how to make money on car investments!!

Oh, wait

1994 Corrado VR6 - around £1500 in 2011. Worth more now. Probably the only car I've ever made a profit on

Mrs has a 1.0 Ecoboost '63 Focus, which has just had its 2nd engine rebuild in 4 months after they ****** up the first one a couple of months ago...
Probably worth about £1.99 (about £5k after a quick Autotrader scan)

2004 Mondeo zetec 2.0tdci purchased in 2008 for 6k and still going strong ish. Had the classic flywheel failure and the erg valve is definitely full of crud but it is a great workhorse and I’ll run it till the MOT bill is unbearable!

Lexus CT200h. 5 years old, bought for 14.8k 2 years ago.

It gives me around 10p/mile and I’ve had to replace the front two tyres in my time.

It’s worth around 13k at todays trade in prices. It’s a great car but the boot is very small for our needs so I’m looking to go full electric after the new year.

Just bought a 2010 Skoda Superb Elegance 2.0TDI, all the bells and whistles. £1800.

Perfect motorway cruiser for my 100 mile daily round trip to work and back.

Got a R53 Mini Cooper S, paid £2500 for it 3 years ago. 2 crashes and a new engine later. And the Mrs still wants to keep it.

And a Mk2 Golf GTI 16v that I paid £150 for.

The car I use isn’t mine and costs me £250 per month for everything. I just add electricity.
Polestar 2

You just made me visit the Polestar site, because that is a ludicrously low amount of money a month!

But the cheapest monthly fee I can find, with no options, keeping it for 4 years, only doing 5,000 miles a year and giving the biggest advance payment is still £395 a month.

How did you manage to get one for £250 a month?
