Well if its anything like BFV and let's be honest it's shaping up to be like that so far, dice making stupid decisions and not listening to fans etc then it will be on gamepass very soon

The main difference between BFV and BF2042 for me, is that I knew within 2 hours of playing the BFV beta that I didnt like it at all and so didnt buy it, whereas I put in 20 hours on the BF2042 beta because I enjoyed it, so will buy it. As of today, BFV is the only BF game in the series that I have not bought

BFV and Hardline for me. I do have BFV now it's free, but I refused to buy it, total mess at launch. I will most likely get BF 2042, the beta was iffy but I can see a good game underneath. My only concern is some of the specialists look seriously OP.

same as me knew instantly on playing bf5 it was a lemon and it turned out to be exactly that. with the new bf2042 it felt familiar and i enjoyed my time in the beta. so know i will enjoy this when its out. nice to look forward to a decent bf game again . its been a while. :D

Addressing it head on == there is more and they'll be great, honest! One of them even has a wallhack!

Why :(

Haha, this. "We had lots of feedback on how crap it was.......but wait until you see these other specialists!". Keep trying the same thing whilst expecting different feedback.

Unfortunately I suppose it's their monetisation model for the entire game so as others have pointed out, it's too late to back out.

BFV beta I had a bad feeling but liked the ww2 theme. I've wanted a ww2 themed bf game again for ages but sadly nice screwed it up. 2042 beta I couldn't even finish a full round without turning it off so will definately be making use of the 10 hour trial with game pass but at this point I point it will make it through 10 hours.

Hopefully Portal will save the day but if decent servers are gone soon as they empty its going to be an issue

I’m hoping some of the best or most popular Portal modes will become like a quick play or saved list and if enough people play on the servers they’ll remain populated and ‘up’ almost permanently.

I'm reinstalling BF3. Fed up with WZ. Going to wait on buying 2042 and see what the retail version is like and how it performs on low specs like my own.

My suggestion for that ability would be to have it as nothing more than a pulse with no duration. So just a one-off in the moment only pulse, on a cooldown. The US military currently has a heartbeat sensor in development which will be able to pinpoint personnel, including out of sight personnel, via their heartbeats, so it wouldnt be a huge leap to think that some sort of heartbeat pulse sensor could be developed in the next 20 years. I think if it was just an in the moment short range pulse skill, which would do nothing more than pinpoint enemy personnel at that split second (and not show their movements etc) on a decent length cooldown, that would still be a useful skill whilst remaining not too powerful

You'd think they would have learned from bfv to stop shoehorning in stuff just to be on the "current trend" bandwagon, but nope.

Cant say it particularly matters to be quite honest, its an avatar running around in a first person shooter, I'll shoot at it and be shot by it all the same. Seems like an unnecessary thing to bother to say (though I guess its probably entirely likely that in 20 years time someone or other , in some army or other, will be non-binary) but in terms of its impact on me whilst I play a FPS and shoot at things, its just not a big deal. I'd have to be crazily easily triggered to get my proverbial knickers in a twist over that.

I agree it's dumb but tbh I say let them get on with it. Far Cry 6 features a trans person and nearly every enemy soldier is a chick lol.

Think devs would be better sticking to making games rather than statements. It's not something i care about personally, just seems a bit dumb to assign something like this to an assemblage of polygons and textures.

It’s inclusion - not making a statement - and should only ever be supported. If you don’t find it affects you, then you’re probably part of an already overly represented group.

It's a couple of pronouns in the specialists bio, hardly diverting dev time. And if it makes more people feel included then all the better, it's "dumb" to think only binary pronouns should be in the game.
