recent timeline for V5 after number plate change ?

Hey,
Looking to sell my car, but the potential buyer won't take it until I 've got a V5 doc for the registration plate. I've just done the online process today to take off my personal plate and have put on the one that the DVLA gave me there and then as a replacement.

So wondering if anyone has done the above recently and can advise how long it took for the new V5 to come in the post ?

When we swapped the wife's car back in May, it took under a working week (done online) for the new V5C to be in my hands.

As above, did mine last month and my V5 arrived within a few days of picking my new plate so would presume it would be similar for you

appreciate the responses, DVLA said 4-6 weeks on the website when I completed the number change, but I hoped it was lot quicker for a number change than a new car being registered.

So you've give me hope that that is true.

Mine came in 3 days. This was at the start of October.

if it's done online then it will come in a few days, seems to be if it needs human intervention it takes ages but what you've done will be entirely automated.

As the OP just want to confirm that I did it on a wed, and V5c arrived Monday.

Now my problem is that 10 days later, Cazoo is still not seeing my replacement plate as valid, and you can’t get a valuation without it recognising the plate. WBAC and aviva insurance started recognising it yesterday.
