To be fair, they are narrow spaces, and rather vicious granite kerbs. I think a parking fine in the City is £65, I'd be tempted to risk that rather than £lol to refurbish a pair of those alloys.

Just don’t get the love for Singers. Just don’t do it for me and then when I read they don’t cost £50k but £1.5m, I just why? Just think what kind of garage you could have with that kind of money?

When you've got 1.5m to drop on a custom built 911 to your spec it will never be the only car. There's a guy on pistonheads (2manycarz) who has ordered one. He's got millions worth of Ferraris, LFA, Aston Martins etc. To people with that much money the singer is just a fiesta st.

No photo's but on the motorway just outside Brmingham on Saturday morning saw a convoy of maybe 10/12 lambos of varying models, colours and designs, two standouts were a number plate that said PRO8LEM and a white lambo with a moustache on the bonnet, also an awful looking chrome one that I can only assume is a wrap. Middle eastern super car in central London? What's unique about that :p

There is an SLR owned by someone in central who leaves it street parked. Nuts.

When I worked in Belgravia back in 2008ish there was a street parked 959 too. Not a replica, an actual, real Porker 959. Just standing there, tax disc, parking permit and all amongst all the S classes and Rollers. Insane.

That job was my first real-life experience of proper wealth. Not new wealth, old wealth. The Sultan of Brunei had four(!) properties on Eaton Square and had all the walls smashed out in between them to form one huge mansion. He visited the place for three weeks a year, escorted by police and his whole harem of wives. This property had 30 staff 24/7/365, all on the payroll, and when he was in town, that number bounced up to around 170. Chefs, butlers, cleaners, housekeepers, you name it. For one family.

His son or nephew or something had a Brabus Rocket CLS as his little London toy for when he was here, again this was a few weeks a year and because he was a 21 year old foreigner driving a 1000bhp car, his insurance was £60k a year. Just the insurance.

You see some proper crazy stuff when real wealth gets involved.

Meanwhile I get excited when I make £30 selling some widget on eBay :D

No picture, but I ended up behind a brand new GR Yaris this morning. Perhaps not very exotic, but as it's the first I've seen on the road, I thought it a notable spot. Being brand new it was absolutely pristine - but it had a huge set of proper rally mudguards, so hopefully the owner is going to change that :D
