Mine needs doing desperately, dreading it. I think I'm just going to burn it all with fire first and see if that helps, even if it doesn't it sounds fun

I didn't do the grill as my plan is to set a fire up and only toast some marshmallows with the kids one evening. Then all that grease will scrape off easier. I can't find a bucket big enough to clean those grills otherwise.

I fitted a new solenoid valve to the shower yesterday. So nice to have a shower after about 6 weeks without one thanks to both terrible service from the original place we ordered the part, and 15 people being off sick in the local sorting office causing a 2 week delay to the mail.

Swapped to my winter set of wheels, removed a load of carpet (and cut it up), only to get a call to say there was a problem with the carpet 
. Hopefully they will be fitting a good one tomorrow.

Just had the carpet fitted, but my threshold covers don't squish down. They're the type where they're just a cover and don't actually grip (concrete floor). Thoughts on how to improve?
Get threshold strips with grippers in them.

Might have too, it's a shame as the ones I've got look nice. I struggled to find many gripper ones, they all seen the same type as what I've got (in the style I like).
dunno how big it is but ive just repaired/filled a crack in a sandstone slab that fitted in our porch , bought a rawlplug resin kit from screwfix. friend has used the same kit to repair a long crack in his concrete path, he used some insulatation from electric cable to pack the crack (pushed it in below the surface) and then used the resin to fill it in. good thing is the starter kit comes with extra nozzles and a gun and 2 tubes so should last for a few jobs.

Set up my new desk, finally I have a workstation that doesn't wobble

Cleared up after the gazebo install last week and chopped all the offcuts into kindling
Then collected all the leaves up.in the back garden
Then stuck them all in the compost bin. It filled.the black plastic one so started on the other one which was half full and ran out of space so tacked some more chicken wire on for extra capacity
Then decided to move the patio furniture up under the gazebo for the winter to give it some protection and may get some prolonged use out of it up there

Looks good. I only managed to rehang a door after having carpet fitted (must have taken off 1/4 of an inch
. Finished setting up the surround sound, just need to work out how to hide the cables now. I'll try and link a pic.

Tackling a mouse problem 
Bird food stored in the garage has attracted them and holes in the garage have allowed them into the house. Filled the holes and got rid of the bird food today. Constant setting of traps to kill them all now Nine down, not sure how many left...

Oooh, good luck.
We store the chicken food outside, in their run in a plastic bin and the bird seed in a plastic / composite shed.
We're ok with mice as we have 3 cats which seem to keep them at bay, but have historically had rats. That said the cats are now seemingly happy to have a go at them too .....
