It was my birthday party on Saturday, and I got individual cakes rather than a whole cake this year. A great idea!

Currently munching the top middle, a pistachio thing.

Bite into the thin white chocolate shell with roasted pistachio pieces to reveal a melt in the mouth pistachio and white chocolate mousse followed by a burst of vibrant cherry compote and a pistachio sponge. A delicious medley of pistachio and cherry spring tastes.

It sounds adorable that you refer to it as your birthday party :D

Haha, yea. Maybe not the right word. Seven of us got back to my house at 11pm after dinner and drinks and played articulate and trivial pursuit until 5am whilst drinking cocktails and champagne. Pretty good party!

I kept the cakes away from my friends until the next morning as they wouldn’t appreciate them drunk. And everyone was then too hungover to eat them and didn’t want to take them home. So more for me, genius move tbh.

My actual birthday is this Sunday, so stay tuned for more cake pictures!

weather sufficiently cold to justify a high calorie suet pudding (ginger/golden-syrup/ pineapple but that agglomerated a bit) steamed in a bowl.

(also contains breadcrumbs not the crust)

Started our December menu today, some of the dishes (which I have definitely been sampling :D) :
