My server is pretty much dead.

For those few still entertaining logging in, what servers are still decent for brits? Bifrost I'm already aware of was just wondering if there are others

I really don't care what the faction balance is like, I'll be switching to the smallest one anyway.

The fact the game in a space of a month drops from 750k Players down to under 200k players within 2 months tells you the game is not liked ! I played 40 hours myself and it seems thats pretty much the average , I played on my own and while the game was fun it quickly got boring and I gave up..... I really wanted to like this game but its just missing the magic I had with games like wow / Final fantasy.

same played it alone,I did join a guild but no one talked or communicated anyway.

no one tries to make any connections in modern mmos, there's almost no point it's more of a burden to communicate.

also I literally only heard one person on a mic and that was when I went around saying hello to everyone trying to find out if my mic worked.

Final Fantasy seems to be the only mmo where people just hang out in the game world and socialise. oh wait Eve online is still uber social too

MMOs becoming single player like games made them boring

Think part of that is people got paranoid about the automated report bans so they use third party (discord) instead
Also it may have been broken with an update as I see join errors for the channel regularly

It was a laugh when people were using it though.. nothing quite like going to your first outpost/city and seeing someone squatted over the town's well doing their business :)

3 years really far too many issues & no content
The weapon/skills system needs a full overhaul and being properly fleshed out like an actual mmo.

it's one of the games biggest downfalls that your basically doing the same thing no matter what level you are.

needs mini games and some form of entertainment other than killing stuff.

whys no mmo ever added like Olympics or some form of games ? you could even make it a seasonal thing with score boards etc

they need to get away from the levelling mentality and think about how people entertained themselves in the real world during the same kind of time periods the games are set.

2 years minimum for any decent content imo since a lot of the game should basically be scrapped and redone

how mcuh time does it need? it was already delayed by a year and there was a open beta back in july and then again early september

Exactly people would have known what they were buying back in the open beta

I'm not defending the game I'm just saying that during the open beta you would have been expecting what the games was going be on release

I never played the open beta because I didn't want to taint the experience.

If I did I doubt I would have bought the game.

with it being a big company like amazon I was almost certain they would want to get their very first game done properly.

this is like early access even for an MMO.
I don't expect all that much content tbh come on... this game is basically a shell

If you followed the development you knew it was going to be a car crash. But people just thought "Amazon, this will be great".

Less than two months in, 80% off the player base has gone and the game is already on sale.

Never fit for release in a million years.

Funny how you disagree with New World being delayed to develop the game better but you defend Star Citizen until the end of time for its constant delays (at least until they just stopped giving any information on a release).

No but many here diddnt know it was delayed and think it was rushed... That was my point.

There was two or was it 3 open beta that all you could have joined and played.

I did and knew what I was getting into and still bought it.

The thing is not everybody went into the release with your experience and expectations. You’ve encountered bugs, most people have encountered bugs and some serious economic exploits on more than one occasion has happened. I love mmos but this doesn’t hit like any other mmo, it doesn’t feel big and vast like an mmo and the bugs aren’t acceptable when their this common.

Game itself is fun. Too bad about the bugs

Usually it wouldn't phase me.. I'm of the generation that cut their teeth on games like UO (before EA went to the toilet on it) where you actually had meaningful consequences/penalties for failing
And I've seen most of the big hitters which followed before we even had the likes of theme park MMO's (WoW)

So its from a position of patience but also disbelief when I see the entire EU cluster taken down because somehow they (allegedly something to do with confusing a "." with a ",") gave swathes of players hundreds of thousands of coin, causing a trade post Armageddon.

I'm not actually sure at this point if they have the capability to perform a roll back.. I mean the time to do it would have been the duping thing a fortnight ago

The genre as a whole needs a kick up the backside
(ff14 is not my cup of tea, though I will say the developer doing interviews is hard not to like)
