There was no issue with the rule in that instance. Linos are meant to allow the attack to play out and then put their flag up after. The fact that the lino played on and then didn't flag was because he simply didn't think it was offside.

Wan Bissaka is awful - he wouldn't be back up RB in any of the top 10. Him and Fernandes have been our poorest players today by far. Fair enough to Carrick for getting a point. Chelsea are flying and United have been rock bottom so it's at least a fighting performance.

It’s a combination of things. We are generally looking better than under Ole and we look better without ronaldo.

You, like Carragher, have misunderstood the way linos work now. They still have to make offside calls like before, they're just instructed to keep their flag down until the attack is over.

The only reason the lino didn't flag (after the attack was over) was because he thought it was onside, wrongly of course.

And this is why it should be changed back. Was it worse that an onside attack be stopped incorrectly or that an offside attack is allowed to continue? I know what I think.
